Overview

The Department of Business Administration was started in the year 1995. Bachelor of Business Administration, popularly referred to as the BBA course is a three-year degree course that provides theoretical and practical knowledge to an aspirant in the fields of commerce, business and administration.

It helps them develop their business acumen and entrepreneurial insights so that they can become effective leaders and managers in future. Good communication skills, interest in problem-solving and an inclination towards teamwork and time management are some of the traits that can help a student during the BBA course. The Department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members who teach, guide and motivate the students.

Management is an excellent stream of education for any student interested in business and related fields of study. They not only offer excellent scope for making a career at the graduation level but can also open up avenues for postgraduate education in related fields. Any student who wishes to pursue a MBA, taking up a management course right after class 12th is a smart idea.

Plenty of starting-level employment opportunities are available for candidates who choose to go for a graduate degree in management. Some of the organizations that are well-suited for management stream graduates include banks, investment firms, government organizations etc.

Private companies and MNCs also stay on the lookout for talented management graduates for filling executive-level positions in HR, Marketing, Sales etc. To give you an idea, the average starting salary of a BBA graduate can be around Rs. 3 LPA and with just a couple of years of experience, it can go up to Rs. 5 - 6 LPA.
